Part Three, Entry 3: For We Wrestle Not Against Flesh and Blood - "Watchers, Nephilim and Evil Spirits: The Days of Jared to the Days of Noah"

PLEASE CHALLENGE MY BLOG ENTRIES WITH PRAYER & TAKE THE TIME TO STUDY, RESEARCH, AND COMPARE MY WORDS WITH THE WORD OF GOD, THE BIBLE, TO ENSURE THEY ARE IN AGREEMENT.

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15

Map of the location of Mount Hermon

To understand what Satan, falling angels (Ephesians 6:12) and evil spirits (Mark 5:15) have been doing as we have been transitioning into the end times, let’s examine what they had done in the past, are doing in modernity, and will do during the Great Tribulation. To begin, it’s important to first study an event that happened during the Days of Jared, the great, great, great grandfather of Noah on Mount Hermon to the beginning of the post-Great Flood (Genesis 6 & 7), and how this period, I believe, is when God the Holy Spirit began to restrain the “mystery of iniquity or the lawless one(s)” (2 Thessalonians 2:8, 1 Enoch 7:6) till the Day of Revealing (2 Thessalonians 2:7).

Five generations before the birth of Noah (Genesis 5:28-30), during the Days of Jared (Genesis 5:15-20) who had lived five generations after the creation of Adam and Eve (Genesis 5:1-15), there were 200 sons of Heaven called Watchers (1 Enoch 6:1-8), who were holy angels (Daniel 4:13) sent to Earth to watch over humans, that made an oath on Mount Hermon located on “the Lebanon-Syria border west of Damascus[1] to leave their first estate in heaven, and have children with daughters of humans (Genesis 6:1-4).

200 Watchers Swears an Oath on Mount Hermon

1 Enoch 6:1-8:

1 And it came to pass, when the sons of men had increased, that in those days there were born to them fair and beautiful daughters.

2 And the Angels, the sons of Heaven, saw them and desired them. And they said to one another: “Come, let us choose for ourselves wives, from the children of men, and

3 And Semyaza, who was their leader, said to them: “I fear that you may not wish this deed to be done and that I alone will pay for this great sin.”

4 And they all answered him, and said: “Let us all swear an oath, and bind one-another with curses, so not to alter this plan, but to carry out this plan effectively.”

5 Then they all swore together and all bound one another with curses to it.

6 And they were, in all, two hundred and they came down on Ardis, which is the summit of Mount Hermon. And they called the mountain Hermon because on it they swore and bound one another with curses.

7 And these are the names of their leaders: Semyaza, who was their leader, Urakiba, Ramiel, Kokabiel, Tamiel, Ramiel, Daniel, Ezeqiel, Baraqiel, Asael, Armaros, Ananel, Zaqiel, Samsiel, Satael, Turiel, Yomiel, Araziel.

8 These are the leaders of the two hundred Angels and of all the others with them.[1]

Nephilim: Offspring of Angels and Humans

Genesis 4:1-4:

1 When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them,

2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

Fallen angel with daughter of Man

The fall of the 200 Watchers on Mount Hermon (1 Enoch 6:1-6) is the second documented angelic rebellion or fall against God in biblical history. The first being the rebellion and fall of Lucifer and one third of the heavenly host (Isaiah 14:12-14, Revelation 12:3-4).

The birth of  the Watchers’ children, the Nephilim (1 Enoch 6:2-3), as it relates to life on earth, is the third terrestrial event to happen that had a monumental impacted on humans’ physical and spiritual lives. The first being Adam and Eve eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Genesis 3:1-24); and second, the first documented murder in the Bible, Cain killing his brother, Abel (Genesis 4:8).

During the five generations or nearly 1200 years between the time of Jared and Noah, when the Nephilim were first upon the earth, they committed acts of blasphemy and lasciviousness against God and humans; God began to regret that He had created humans (Genesis 6:5-7); and, God decide to flood the entire world to cleanse it of evil (Genesis 6:11-17).

1 Enoch 7:1-6:

1 And they took wives for themselves and everyone chose for himself one each. And they began to go into them and were promiscuous with them. And they taught them charms and spells, and they showed them the cutting of roots and trees.

2 And they became pregnant and bore large giants. And their height was three thousand cubits. (Genesis 6:1-4), (Numbers 13:30-33), (Deuteronomy 2:10-12), (Deuteronomy 2:19-21), (Deuteronomy 3:11), (2 Samuel 21:16), (2 Samuel 21:18-22), (Baruch 3:24-28)

3 These devoured all the toil of men; until men were unable to sustain them.

4 And the giants turned against them in order to devour men.

(Psalm 14:4), (Micah 3:3)

5 And they began to sin against birds, and against animals, and against reptiles, and against fish, and they devoured one another’s flesh, and drank the blood from it.

(Jeremiah 12:4)

6 Then the Earth complained about the lawless ones. (Genesis 6:5-13)[2]

Noah and the ark during the Great Flood

But God’s regret and decision to cleanse the world was not complete because He saved Noah and his family by giving him instructions on how to build an ark to save them from God’s judgment, and established a new covenant with Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives (Genesis 6:18).

In the book of Psalms, God provides insight on why He did not destroy all of humankind.

Psalms 78:38-39:

38 But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity,

And did not destroy them.

Yes, many a time He turned His anger away,

And did not stir up all His wrath;

39 For He remembered that they were but flesh,

A breath that passes away and does not come again.

The Fall of the Rebel Angels by Luca Giordano

The same was not true for the 200 Watchers, nor their children. 1 Enoch 10 explains God’s judgment upon the Watchers, where He tells the holy archangel - “Raphael: “Bind Azazel by his hands and his feet and throw him into the darkness,” and the holy archangel - “Michael: “Go, inform Semyaza, and the others with him, who have associated with the women to corrupt themselves with them in all their uncleanness. When all their sons kill each other, and when they see the destruction of their loved ones, bind them for seventy generations, under the hills of the earth, until the day of their judgment and of their consummation, until the judgment, which is for all eternity, is accomplished.”

1 Enoch 10:1-16:

1 And then the Most High, the Great and Holy One, spoke and sent Arsyalalyur to the son of Lamech, and said to him:

2 “Say to him in my name; hide yourself! And reveal to him the end, which is coming, because the whole earth will be destroyed. A deluge is about to come on all the earth; and all that is in it will be destroyed. (Genesis 6:8), (Ben Sira 44:17-18), (Genesis 6:17), (Genesis 7:6-24), (2 Peter 3:6), (Luke 17:27), (Hebrews 11:7), (Ben Sira 40:9-10)

3 And now teach him so that he may escape and his offspring may survive for the whole Earth.” (Ben Sira 44:17-18), (Proverbs 10:16), (Proverbs 11:19), (Proverbs 14:27), (Genesis 7:1, 6-7, 13), (Genesis 9:1), (Genesis 9:7), (Genesis 9:18-19), (Genesis 10:1, 32), (Wisdom 14:6)

4 And further the Lord said to Raphael: “Bind Azazel by his hands and his feet and throw him into the darkness. And split open the desert, which is in Dudael, and throw him there.

5 And throw on him jagged and sharp stones and cover him with darkness. And let him stay there forever. And cover his face so that he may not see the light.

6 And so that, on the Great Day of Judgment, he may be hurled into the fire. (Isaiah 24:21-22), (2 Peter 2:4), (Jude 1:6), (Revelation 20:1-3)

7 And restore the Earth which the Angels have ruined. And announce the restoration of the Earth. For I shall restore the Earth so that not all the sons of men shall be destroyed because of the knowledge which the Watchers made known and taught to their sons. (Joel 2:22)

8 And the whole Earth has been ruined by the teaching of the works of Azazel; and against him write: ALL SIN.” (Genesis 6:5-7), (Genesis 6:12)

9 And the Lord said to Gabriel: “Proceed against the bastards, and the reprobates, and against the sons of the fornicators. And destroy the sons of the fornicators, and the sons of the Watchers, from amongst men. And send them out, and send them against one another, and let them destroy themselves in battle; for they will not have length of days. (Baruch 3:24-28), (Wisdom 14:6)

10 And they will petition you, but the petitioners will gain nothing in respect of them, for they hope for eternal life, and that each of them will live life for five hundred years.”

11 And the Lord said to Michael: “Go, inform Semyaza, and the others with him, who have associated with the women to corrupt themselves with them in all their uncleanness.

12 When all their sons kill each other, and when they see the destruction of their loved ones, bind them for seventy generations, under the hills of the earth, until the day of their judgment and of their consummation, until the judgment, which is for all eternity, is accomplished. (2 Peter 2:4), (Jude 1:6)

13 And in those days, they will lead them to the Abyss of Fire; in torment, and in prison they will be shut up for all eternity. (Psalm 140:10), (Revelation 19:20), (Revelation 20:10)

14 And then Semyaza will be burnt, and from then on destroyed with them; together they will be bound until the end of all generations. (Revelation 20:15), (Psalm 68:2), (Psalm 73:27)

15 And destroy all the souls of lust, and the sons of the Watchers, for they have wronged men. (Baruch 3:24-28)

16 Destroy all wrong from the face of the Earth and every evil work will cease. (Isaiah 60:21-22)[3]

The following verses from 1 Enoch 15 & 16, with supporting verses from the Bible, explains God’s reason for His judgment on the 200 Watchers and their children, and that the physical death of Nephilim transitioned their spirits into evil spirits. Lastly, 1 Enoch 19 explains how the 200 Watchers transformed themselves to hide their true form to mislead human women to have sex and children with them.

In Daniel 9:21, the holy archangel Gabriel (Luke 1: 19, 26) is described as “the man Gabriel,” which confirms 1 Enoch 19, that angels, more specifically in this case, the Watchers had the ability to transform their true form into other forms.

1 Enoch 15:1-12:

1 And He answered me, and said to me with His voice: “Hear! Do not be afraid, Enoch, you righteous man, and scribe of righteousness. Come here and hear my voice.

2 And go say to the Watchers of Heaven, who sent you to petition on their behalf: You ought to petition on behalf of men, not men on behalf of you.

3 Why have you left the High, Holy and Eternal Heaven, and lain with women, and become unclean with the daughters of men, and taken wives for yourselves, and done as the sons of the earth, and begotten giant sons? (Genesis 6:1-4)

4 And you were spiritual, Holy, living an eternal life, but you became unclean upon the women, and begot children through the blood of flesh, and lusted after the blood of men, and produced flesh and blood, as they do, who die and are destroyed.

5 And for this reason I give men wives; so that they might sow seed in them, and so that children might be born by them, so that deeds might be done on the Earth.

6 But you, formerly, were spiritual, living an eternal, immortal life, for all the generations of the world.

7 For this reason I did not arrange wives for you; because the dwelling of the spiritual ones is in Heaven.

8 And now, the giants who were born from body and flesh will be called Evil Spirits on the Earth, and on the Earth will be their dwelling. (Baruch 3:24-28) (Matthew 8:28-32), (Matthew 10:1), (Mark 1:23-27), (Mark 3:11), (Mark 5:2-13), (Mark 9:25), (Luke 4:33-36), (Luke 6:18), (Luke 7:21), (Luke 8:2), (Luke 8:28-31), (Luke 9:42), (Acts 5:16), (Acts 8:7), (Acts 19:12-16)

9 And evil spirits came out from their flesh, because from above they were created, from the Holy Watchers was their origin and first foundation. Evil spirits they will be on Earth and ‘Spirits of the Evil Ones’ they will be called.

(Baruch 3:24-28) (Matthew 8:28-32), (Matthew 10:1), (Mark 1:23-27), (Mark 3:11), (Mark 5:2-13), (Mark 9:25), (Luke 4:33-36), (Luke 6:18), (Luke 7:21), (Luke 8:2), (Luke 8:28-31), (Luke 9:42), (Acts 5:16), (Acts 8:7), (Acts 19:12-16)

10 And the dwelling of the Spirits of Heaven is Heaven, but the dwelling of the spirits of the Earth, who were born on the Earth, is Earth. (Baruch 3:24-28) (Matthew 8:28-32), (Matthew 10:1), (Mark 1:23-27), (Mark 3:11), (Mark 5:2-13), (Mark 9:25), (Luke 4:33-36), (Luke 6:18), (Luke 7:21), (Luke 8:2), (Luke 8:28-31), (Luke 9:42), (Acts 5:16), (Acts 8:7), (Acts 19:12-16)

11 And the spirits of the giants do wrong, are corrupt, attack, fight, break on the Earth, and cause sorrow. And they eat no food, do not thirst, and are not observed. (Baruch 3:24-28) (Matthew 8:28-32), (Matthew 10:1), (Mark 1:23-27), (Mark 3:11), (Mark 5:2-13), (Mark 9:25), (Luke 4:33-36), (Luke 6:18), (Luke 7:21), (Luke 8:2), (Luke 8:28-31), (Luke 9:42), (Acts 5:16), (Acts 8:7), (Acts 19:12-16)

12 And these spirits will rise against the sons of men, and against the women, because they came out of them during the days of slaughter and destruction.

(Baruch 3:24-28) (Matthew 8:28-32), (Matthew 10:1), (Mark 1:23-27), (Mark 3:11), (Mark 5:2-13), (Mark 9:25), (Luke 4:33-36), (Luke 6:18), (Luke 7:21), (Luke 8:2), (Luke 8:28-31), (Luke 9:42), (Acts 5:16), (Acts 8:7), (Acts 19:12-16)[4]

1 Enoch 16:1-4:

1 And the death of the giants, wherever the spirits have gone out from their bodies, their flesh will be destroyed, before the Judgment. Thus they will be destroyed until the Day of the Great Consummation is accomplished, upon the Great Age, upon the Watchers and the impious ones.”

(Isaiah 10:23-25), (Isaiah 24:1-3), (Isaiah 30:27-28, 30-31), (Nahum 1:7-10), (Ezekiel 21:25-27), (Jeremiah 5:3-5), (Jeremiah 25:31), (2 Peter 3:7), (Jude 1:15), (Romans 3:19), (Revelation 14:7), (John 5:21-22, 27), (John 9:39), (John 12:31), (Revelation 18:10), (Acts 17:31), (Matthew 25:31-33, 41, 46), (Daniel 7:9-10), (Revelation 20:11-13), (Revelation 20:10), (Revelation 21:8)

2 And now to the Watchers, who sent you to petition on their behalf, who were formerly in Heaven:

3 “You were in Heaven but its secrets had not yet been revealed to you; and a worthless mystery you knew. This you made known to women, in the hardness of your hearts. And through this mystery the women and the men cause evil to increase on the Earth.”

(Romans 16:25-26), (Ephesians 3:3-5), (Ephesians 3:8-11), (Colossians 1:26), (Colossians 2:2-3), (1 Corinthians 2:7) (Ecclesiastes 8:6), (Matthew 24:12)

4 Say to them therefore: “You will not have peace.” (Isaiah 48:22), (Isaiah 57:21), (Isaiah 59:7-9), (Romans 3:15-17), (Jeremiah 12:12), (Ezekiel 7:25)[5]

1 Enoch 19:1-3:

1 And Uriel said to me: “The spirits of the Angels who were promiscuous with women will stand here; and they, assuming many forms, made men unclean and will lead men astray so that they sacrifice to demons as gods. And they will stand there until the great judgment day, on which they will be judged, so that an end will be made of them. (Genesis 6:1-2) (2 Corinthians 11:13-15), (Revelation 12:9) (Romans 1:18-23), (Colossians 2:18), (Deuteronomy 32:16-21), (1 Corinthians 10:20), (Revelation 9:20), (Psalm 106:36-38), (Hosea 13:2), (2 Chronicles 33:1-7, 9), (1 Kings 14:9), (2 Kings 17:16-17), (2 Kings 21:3, 5-6), (2 Kings 23:4-5), (Jeremiah 7:31), (Jeremiah 19:4-6), (Proverbs 15:8), (Proverbs 21:27)

2 And their wives, having led astray the Angels of Heaven, will become peaceful.”

3 And I, Enoch, alone saw the sight, the ends of everything; and no man has seen what I have seen.[6]

In my next blog entries, I will present evidence with biblical scripture juxtaposed with news articles & broadcast, government & non-governmental organizations sources, and videos that prove we are living in the end times (Matthew 24), and the Day of Revealing of the antichrist (2 Thessalonians 2) and the Day of Jesus Return are near (2 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

Here is the sinner’s prayer if you are moved to give your life to Christ –

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name. Amen.”
